In the last year, I have sampled not hundreds, but thousands of beers. Mind you, this does not make

me an afficianado, nor a critic, I have only been enabled to better serve my taste buds when standing in front of the beer cooler.

Recently, I fell in love with Dogfish Head Brewery, a micro-brewery in Delaware. They make extremely well balanced beers of all shapes/sizes/strenghts/styles. They even have 3 different types/strengths of IPA! One of their most impressive beers I have tasted to dat...

This kind of cracks me up.  Ancient Egyptians throwing up from drinking too much wine and beer.  This book seems to be a pretty fascinating look at beer and wine across the ancient world.  Lots of hieroglyphics and fascinating illustrations.  Check it out.....

Gordon Biersch is a microbrewery here in Silicon Valley.  It actually got its start (or at least its initial funding) from some of the early engineers at Silicon Graphics Inc. in Mountain View.  They opened their first microbrewery and restaurant in Palo Alto.

Their best beer, in my humble opinion, is Marzen (well I can't figure out how to put the two little dots on top of the a in Marzen, pronounced mare-tsen).
